Using File Transfer

Choosing the Destination Location:

You can select the destination location from the following options:

  • Desktop
  • Documents
  • Downloads
  • Personal Folder (user's)

This location will be used for both upload and download (Technician to user and user to technician).

To choose a destination, go to the settings as follows:

Note : The file transfer menu takes priority in the stacking of various windows that appear on the screen. It will overlay other windows if it remains open.

Send (Technician to User)

You can transfer files by dragging and dropping them into the Assist window. This way, the transfer will automatically start to the folder selected in the Assist settings.

Receive (User to Technician)

To receive files, you can use the file transfer interface to browse the remote machine and select the file(s) to transfer.

In a more intuitive way, you can simply click the "Download" button in the notification that opens when you do a "CTRL + C" or "right-click > copy" to add files to the clipboard (only using Chrome and Windows).

Note : During a file transfer, your bandwidth will be prioritized for downloading/uploading your files. If you browse or perform other actions while a file transfer is in progress, you may experience slowdowns.

Feel free to reduce the resolution from the settings menu to optimize your experience.
