Context

The "Reports" feature allows you to generate detailed, and customizable summaries based on your activity data.

Its purpose is to provide a comprehensive and illustrated view (graphs, charts, etc.) of supervision activities, including alert ticket management, their resolution, IT infrastructure characteristics, and other relevant indicators covering all features available in the Rg System console.

Access

To access the "Reports" feature:

  1. Select the node where you want to create a report.
  2. In the left-hand menu, navigate to the "Configuration" section.
  3. Click "Reports" to open the management and report creation interface.

Reports

With this feature, users can configure one-time or recurring reports, ensuring optimal tracking of operations and actions carried out.

Viewing Your Reports

Once you've created your first reports, you will find them listed on the feature's homepage.

Two tabs will allow you to view both the configured reports for the selected node and the history of automatic report deliveries.

  • Configured Reports Tab

The list shows the one-time or recurring reports you have configured on the selected node. Reports can be managed from this list.

  • History Tab

This view shows all automatic report deliveries and their delivery statistics to the recipients you specified. Track successful report delivery and resend a report if needed.

Configured Reports List Actions

Several actions are available:

  • Creation
  • Editing
  • Deletion
  • Viewing (with restricted rights)

These actions make it easy to manage your reports on the selected node.

Creating a Report

The report configuration interface is divided into four sections:

  • Context
  • Frequency
  • Content
  • Recipients

These four sections are designed to give you maximum customization to configure activity-specific reports.

Once configuration is complete, simply create the report using the associated action. A new line will appear in the list of configured reports, where you can consult, modify, or delete the report as needed.

Finally, don't hesitate to check the report delivery status and automatic delivery history from the History tab.

The Context

This section allows you to define a title, a description, and the language. Additionally, you can customize the reply-to email address for report notification emails to handle recipient responses effectively.

The Frequency

Frequency is fully configurable and lets you set both standard and complex recurrences, enabling you to adapt to diverse needs.

Note: The report's data range strongly depends on the chosen frequency.
Example: For a monthly frequency, the report data range spans one month. Each occurrence will include the complete data from the previous month.

The Content

Each new report contains general information on the state of your IT infrastructure. Each data point is represented by widgets that can be added or removed from the report.

It is entirely possible to delete the default data automatically added when creating the report and enrich it with available data as needed.

While selecting content, you can also organize the order of data displayed in the final PDF to suit your preferences.

Recipients

Finally, you can define the recipients of the report being created. Recipients will be associated with the report and receive it on the defined date or for all future occurrences if a recurring report is configured.
